Patience pays: Trilby first stood as a local candidate for the Uttlesford Green Party in 2005 and in 2019 was elected for Shire Ward as the first Green Councillor on Saffron Walden Town Council where she serves on the Planning & Transport and Assets & Services committees.
Trilby's greatest concern is the exponential increase in high cost housing. This doesn’t meet local needs but multiplies the number of cars and removes green space and trees all of which reduces our air quality.
This has prompted Trilby to work hard on providing facilities for walking and cycling, a 20mph speed throughout the town and to campaign for increased tree and hedge coverage.
Trilby is a familiar sight picking up litter on Herberts playing fields, flying down to town on her bike or puffing back up the hill with her shopping.
If there’s something on your mind, give her a wave and she will stop to see if she can help.
