Trilby Roberts is the Green Party Candidate for Thaxted & the Eastons in the Uttlesford District Council Election & Shire Ward in the Saffron Walden Town Council Election

Trilby has lived and walked and cycled around Saffron Walden for 21 years. She has been volunteering locally since her arrival in 2002 and continues to do so. She served on the Saffron Walden Neighbourhood Plan committee in 2016 and continued on becoming a councillor in 2019. It was adopted last year and already has been used to have a developer re-site the children’s play area.

Trilby relishes being able to assist and being in contact with constituents in her ward and loves to help with children’s activities such as making Christmas Lanterns and Easter baskets. She’s very hands on and works hard to increase active travel and improve air quality and persistently logs potholes to improve the roads for all. Her major concerns are the loss of green spaces and lack of social housing in town and of housing developments outstripping education, health and transport infrastructure.

As a life member of the Green Party Trilby is equally concerned with people and planet, and, as the party does not whip, Green councillors are inherently local and seek fairness and equality for their constituents as well as protection of their environment.

Trilby has lived and walked and cycled around Saffron Walden for 21 years and her family ties in Thaxted go back to the mid seventies.
