Councillor Dr. Barbara Light is the Green Party Candidate for Audley Ward in the Uttlesford District Council & Saffron Walden Town Council Election
As your district councillor for the past eight years, and town councillor for the past four, I have worked hard to serve you, the residents of Audley Ward, and to help you with your council issues. It has been a privilege to meet so many of you on my regular ward walkabouts or in my surgeries.
Saffron Walden is my home, and I love it! I love the quaintness of its heritage centre, the beauty of its natural surroundings and above all, the strong sense of community that we residents share. Our natural and built heritage is precious, and I continue to fight hard to protect it from over-development and to promote a truly green and sustainable environment for us and future generations to enjoy.
A member of several council committees, I have always strongly fought your corner, putting integrity, principles and maintaining promises well before any party interest. I have always acted transparently and voted with your interests in mind – I am, after all, accountable to you!
