Daniel Brett represents Stansted South on Stansted Mountfitchet Parish Council

Daniel is a life-long resident of Uttlesford and became a parish councillor for Stansted South in 2019.

He is the village's tree warden and was active in organising successful campaigns against the proposed closures of the library in 2019 and the primary school in Farnham in 2014.

Daniel is also secretary of Birchanger Wood Trust, which looks after the district's second largest public access woodland after Hatfield Forest, and is involved in Let's Talk Stansted, having been trained in mental health first aid.

He believes that social justice, sustainable economic development and protection of the environment go hand-in-hand.

Community sports are another passion and Daniel participates in épée fencing, martial arts - taekwondo, shotokan karate and iaido - and grassroots football, as a season ticket holder of Stansted FC and a member of  Leyton Orient Fans Trust. He lives in Stansted with his wife and son.
